VanyatraHolidays – Jim Corbett National Park

At VanyatraHolidays, we follow a transparent and fair cancellation policy. All safari bookings in Jim Corbett National Park are strictly governed by the rules and regulations of the Uttarakhand Forest Department, and all cancellations must comply with these official guidelines.

Safari Permit Cancellation Policy

(As per Government / Forest Department Rules)

Safari permits, once issued by the Forest Department, are strictly non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-amendable.

  • No refund is possible for safari permits under any circumstances

  • Government charges such as:

    • Permit fees

    • Guide fees

    • Vehicle entry fees
      are non-refundable

  •  Changes in date, visitor name, or ID details are not allowed after permit confirmation

These are mandatory Forest Department rules and apply uniformly to all safari operators.

Operator Facilitation Service Cancellation Policy

Our facilitation services include administrative processing, coordination, and operational costs.

Cancellation Charges on Facilitation Fee:

  • Within 24 hours of booking (if permit not booked):
     100% refund of facilitation service charge

  • After permit booking is initiated:
     0% refund

  • Last-minute cancellation / travel date cancellation:
     No refund

Jeep / Canter Safari Cancellation by Forest Department

If a safari is canceled by the Forest Department due to reasons such as:

  • Heavy rainfall
  • Route or zone closure
  • Animal movement restrictions
  • VIP movement
  • Emergency wildlife operations

Refund Policy:

  • Government fees: Refund or non-refund depends solely on Forest Department decision
  • Facilitation fee: ❌ Non-refundable (services already rendered)

Elephant Joy Ride Cancellation Policy

  • Elephant joy rides are not official forest safaris
  • These rides are conducted by local operators in Jim Corbett

No refund is applicable for Elephant Joy Ride bookings under any circumstances

Resort / Hotel / Package Cancellation Policy

(If booked through VanyatraHolidays)

Each resort or hotel follows its own cancellation policy. The exact policy will be shared at the time of booking.

Typical Cancellation Structure:

  • 30 days prior to arrival: 90% refund
  • 15–29 days prior: 70% refund
  • 7–14 days prior: 60% refund
  • 2–6 days prior: 50% refund
  • Less than 48 hours / No-show: No refund

Forest Lodge Booking Policy

Forest lodges including:

  • Dhikala
  • Bijrani
  • Jhirna
  • Dhela

are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • Bookings are fully controlled by the Forest Department
  • VanyatraHolidays has no authority over cancellations or modifications

General Booking Policies

1. Booking Confirmation

  • Booking confirmation may take up to 24 hours
  • Vouchers are provided via Email, WhatsApp, SMS, or Hard Copy (subject to availability)

2. Accommodation Policy

  • For 3 guests, one room with 1 extra mattress is provided
  • Room allotment depends on hotel availability and property rules

3. Pricing, Taxes & Fee Changes

Any changes in:

  • Government taxes
  • Safari permit charges
  • Hotel tariffs
  • Fuel costs
  • Guide or entry fees

will be communicated before the travel date.
Any post-confirmation hike in official charges will be payable by the guest.


4. Rainy Season & Provisional Bookings

  • Day visit safaris during 1st June – 14th November are provisional

  • Bookings may be canceled due to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Safety concerns
  • Forest Department restrictions

❌ No refund will be issued for cancellations due to weather or natural calamities.


5. Safari Booking Failure

If safari booking fails due to:

  • Technical issues
  • Non-availability
  • Forest Department rejection

Full amount will be refunded to the original payment method.


6. Peak Season Policy

During peak dates such as:

  • Holi
  • Diwali
  • Christmas
  • New Year
  • Long weekends

Special cancellation and pricing policies apply and will be shared at the time of booking.


7. Force Majeure Conditions

VanyatraHolidays is not responsible for cancellations due to:

  • Natural disasters (floods, landslides, heavy rain)
  • Strikes or protests
  • Government orders
  • Traffic disruptions
  • Sudden zone closures
  • Hotel overbooking

No refund or compensation can be claimed. Alternate arrangements may be offered if possible.


8. Identity Proof Requirement

All travelers must carry a valid Government ID (Aadhaar / Passport / Voter ID).

 Safari entry will be denied without valid ID and no refund will be issued.


9. Incorrect Information Policy

Providing incorrect details such as:

  • Wrong name
  • Incorrect age
  • Invalid ID number

may lead to safari cancellation by the Forest Department without refund.


10. No-Show Policy

If the guest does not report on the scheduled travel date:
No refund will be applicable under any circumstances


11. Jurisdiction

All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi.
